SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER: Exhibition

Join us for an inspiring evening exploring the intersection of human rights, courage, and global citizenship. This community event features Dr. Christoph Karlo, President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Switzerland, alongside the powerful SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER photography exhibition.

The evening includes a 30–40 minute presentation in the ISL auditorium, followed by an apéro and the opportunity to view Eddie Adams' striking black-and-white portraits of 33 human rights defenders from around the world. This exhibition has engaged thousands of students across Switzerland since 2015, sparking meaningful conversations about justice, dignity, and the power of individual action.

About the Exhibition

Created by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation, SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER is more than a collection of photographs—it is a commitment to human rights education. Since 2015, the exhibition has been displayed in Swiss schools and public spaces, inspiring thousands of students to research the lives and causes of the defenders featured and to consider their own role in advancing human rights.

Founder and President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Switzerland

Dr. Christoph Karlo is a radiologist, entrepreneur, and human rights advocate with more than 20 years of experience in medicine, business, and academic research. He is Co-Founder and Chairman of Octorad AG, Founder and President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Switzerland, a founding board member of Eriya AG, and Co-Founder and Chairman of Kessel International AG. His work focuses on advancing healthcare, sustainable finance, renewable energy, and human rights through strategic leadership, innovation, and international collaboration.

Welcome & Introduction

Join us at 18:00 on 30 September in the ISL auditorium for an inspiring evening exploring human rights and the power of speaking truth to those in authority. The evening will feature a keynote address, offering insights into human rights and the importance of standing up for justice, followed by an opportunity for reflection and dialogue. This community event is open to all families, students, and friends of ISL who wish to engage with vital global issues through education and conversation.

Following the presentation, guests are invited to view the powerful SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER photography exhibition in the South Campus foyer. Featuring 33 striking black-and-white portraits by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Eddie Adams, the exhibition showcases human rights defenders from around the world who have dedicated their lives to justice, dignity, and courage.
